Reclaiming Coco – A Documentary Screening & Live Discussion at ZAF Impact Summit

ZAF Impact Summit · Film & Discussion

A film that goes beyond the surface. A conversation that doesn't end when the credits roll.

At the ZAF Impact Summit, we are proud to present a special screening of Reclaiming Coco, a powerful documentary by Swiss-Ghanaian filmmaker Philippe Stalder.

The film travels deep into the world of cocoa — tracing its roots, its people, and the complex stories behind one of the world's most cultivated and consumed crops. Through intimate portraits and stunning visuals, Reclaiming Coco asks a fundamental question: who truly benefits from the land, the labour, and the legacy?

"This is more than a film screening. It's a conversation we need to have."

Following the screening, director Philippe Stalder will join us live on stage for an open discussion — exploring the themes of the film, the journey behind making it, and what it means to reclaim African narratives in a global context.

Whether you're drawn to African culture, independent film, or the politics of food and heritage, this evening promises to challenge, inspire, and spark dialogue long after the lights come back on.
